Cellist and chair of the String faculty at the University of Colorado, received a Bachelors degree at the Hartt College of Music and the Masters degree at the Manhattan School of Music in 1969. A founding member of the Manhattan String Quartet in 1970, she left the Quartet at the end of the 1991-92 season to be Professor of Cello and Director of the String Quartet Program at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Her discography includes over 25 recordings, including a set of six ESS.A.Y. CD’s featuring the 15 string quartets of Dmitri Shostakovich.
