In the standard semester program students take the required 4-credit Italian course according to their level, and another 3 or 4 courses which they are free to choose, depending on the requirements of their home university. Students must enroll in a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 5 courses, which represent from 13 to 16 credits. This program is open to all students.

Students who have never had an Italian course prior to coming to Italy should enroll in Florence Experience I. Those who have had Italian before should select the course that would naturally follow the one taken at the home university. During the first week of classes all language students above the first level are given an assessment exam which will confirm your correct placement.

Once the appropriate Italian course is selected, students may choose freely from the variety of elective courses listed.
