Students attending the Institute from partner institutions will receive a transcript from their home institution. The Institute at Palazzo Rucellai is affiliated with the following colleges and universities: The University of Connecticut, Pennsylvania State University, The University of Virginia, Arizona State University, Roger Williams University, Marywood University and Connecticut College. The Institute also offers special academic programs in cooperation with Notre Dame of Maryland.

For students attending independently, grades are reported on a Roger Williams University (Bristol, Rhode Island) transcript, and are consistent with the credit requirements of most American colleges and universities. The transcript details the courses taken, the grades earned, and the credits awarded at the Institute. Roger Williams University is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and is a member of the Association of American College and University Programs in Italy (AACUPI).
