Students fluent in Italian may take one or, in exceptional cases, two courses at the University of Florence. The Institute counsels the student on courses and facilitates the required direct registration. 

There is an enrollment fee of € 175 plus approx. € 70 per course. Students interested in this option must inform the Institute at least 3 months prior to arrival, so that there is time to request a letter from the Italian consulate certifying that the student is officially registered at an American university.
