• Accreditation and Recognition The Institute at Palazzo Rucellai is a provider of recognized, credit-bearing courses to students of American colleges and universities. Through our partner institutions – The University of Connecticut, Pennsylvania State University, Connecticut College, Roger Williams University, Notre Dame of Maryland, and Nazareth College – students may earn direct credit, or they may come independently of any of these collaborating schools, and earn a Roger Williams University transcript.
Through our association with the University of Connecticut, the academic program of the Institute is registered with the Italian Ministry of Education as an institution of higher learning.
• Curriculum and Quality of Courses The course syllabi and CVs of our instructors are routinely reviewed and monitored by our partner institutions, thereby ensuring consistently high standards. If you are advising students to apply to the Institute, or would like your school to become a collaborating institution, we will provide an updated Course Syllabi Book so that you can review our academic program in detail.
• Faculty Credentials The Institute at Palazzo Rucellai has succeeded in attracting a highly-qualified faculty of exceptional scholars who are passionately dedicated to teaching and providing courses of substantive content and quality. • Admission Standards Admission into the Institute at Palazzo Rucellai is selective. We require: - Students who are matriculated at an accredited college or university - Sophomore or higher status - Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher - A letter of recommendation from a previous professor - A personal essay

• Library and Academic Resources Above and beyond the local libraries, the Institute maintains its own library with over 2000 well-selected holdings, a collection that continues to grow. We also offer newspapers, journals, and a large CD and DVD collection. The Institute has two computer labs (24 PCs) as well as wireless access, allowing students to utilize online databases and journals for research purposes.
• Student Services and Health and Safety The Institute at Palazzo Rucellai maintains an average 12:1 staff to student ratio and offers incomparable attention to students' needs. With our 24-hour emergency hotline, there is always someone available if a situation arises.
